Like Rusty, Kevin entered ND in 1975 and majored in architecture. He was the third team tight end in 79.

Randy Harrison was injured in his 4th year and received a medical redshirt. Before his injury, he played enough minutes to earn a monogram. As a result, he is one of the few to earn 5 monograms in one sport.

They both did go to Rome that year, didn't they? *

If they had, they would have missed the National Championship. We were in the same section in Morrissey (4th floor chapel wing) our junior year. There didn't seem to be an issue with football players who majored in architecture not going to Rome then.
