As much as I loved Autry as a player, I never loved the results I saw on the field from his coaching. Guys have been running high, not developing physically, showing poor vision. And suffice it to say his ability to recruit was always in question.

From the very limited amount we were able to see in the spring, I saw much needed physical development (Armstrong's upper body, Tony Jones losing weight), I saw guys running lower and with a better forward lean, and I saw improved vision.

I have suspicions, like many here, that Shanty's system and obsessive focus on the passing game during practice will always mean disappointing results on the ground; the advanced stats in that area have been abysmal throughout his tenure. But I'm hopeful we'll see some positive outcomes from what seems to be a significant coaching upgrade.

I guess we'll see soon enough.
