In the last couple of years, the recruiting calendar seems to have shifted up for recruits to commit to their school of choice, possibly a result of the recently-implemented early signing day in December.

ND has not fared well in the last two recruiting cycles from today's date forward. Here's a list of the national rankings of the recruits that committed June 26 and after in the 2019 and 2020 ND classes:

Is it possible Swarbrick is slow-playing Kelly's extension as he waits to see if Kelly and staff's shitless recruiting will continue to move ND further away from competing for a national title?
