As it stands, because of the free transfer and the yearly limits, there are a bunch of teams that have several scholarship spots they literally cannot use, per the rules, without giving them to walk-ons. Which is great for the walk-ons but not as much for incoming high school recruits.


I love those stories where walks-on get scholarships ...

We need to free up more scholarships to give to more players who we can just run off if they aren't good enough.
