While I had high hopes we could be even more frustrated. How would you like to root for St. Cloud or Minnesota State? In the last 5 seasons, the Huskies and the Mavericks are a combined 0-5 in 1st round games, all as a 1 seed and in three of those games they were the overall #1 and lost to the overall #16. Minnesota State is still looking for their first NCAA win after 6 trips to the tournament and St Cloud State, despite making 3 more appearances than Notre Dame trails us 12-5 in the overall NCAA wins column and 4-1 in FFs. They do have the two wins head-to-head against us though, or the totals would be even worse for them.
