I suppose there are two types of women's basketball players. One, those that have had an ACL injury and two, those that will have an ACL injury.

Jess has been thru this before so she knows the drill. Best of Luck to her on surgery and rehab.

Absolutely Sucks....

...for Jess. After all the dedication shown to making herself a better individual and team player for Notre Dame and now the Lynx, this seems like some cruel cosmic hoax.

Thought I'd have some perspective on it after a night, but it just seems unfair for a young person who was taking it to another level.

As hibernianangst pointed out, Jess does know what this is about and it is a different knee, so one won't be further weakened/tested. Can only hope Jess, with her profound sense of mission, will take this in kind and push her way back. Can guarantee her that all good vibes are coming from northern NJ.
Gods speed on this latest journey of sorts.

And it was such an innocuous landing

If I hadn't already witnessed this too many times with the ND team, I would have thought she would be right back in. Unfortunately, she knew and I hoped I was wrong.
This seems like a particular problem with the women's game - hope there is a solution
