...is playing on a team that overall has a lack of experience and who is also often playing out of position. Keep in mind that Brunelle was often the tallest player ND had on the court this season (when Vaughn was out and Cosgrove was on the bench).

she got a touch for the next four or five minutes. She was wide open on the left side twice during that spell and the ball was passed to a guard on the opposite side both times.


Sam was 2-2 in 1st qtr, no shots in 2nd.

and she tends to take pretty good shots, she's just not hitting them consistently. Sam is more of a spot up shooter and she's relatively easy to guard, especially when Marta and Mik are on the floor because they never shoot away from the basket, which lets the defense aggressively guard Sam and pack in the paint (all the better to recover Marta's terrible attempts at lob passes).


I agree, ND is an easy team to defend which
