In moves that are not surprising, Destinee Walker and Mik Vaughn were waived today (May 10) by the Dallas Wings and Minnesota Lynx, respectively.

Both had been signed to training camp contracts and both had very full rosters. In fact, Dallas might have trouble keeping everyone it drafted on the roster this year. Minnesota also has a chock-full roster.

We'll see if Walker or Vaughn made enough impressions to maybe fill a slot here or there on teams that might lose players to the Olympics. At the very least, they can use these cups of coffee to look for employment overseas this fall.

BTW, the Domers are not alone: a lot of recognizable talent was waived over the weekend/today: Lindsey Pulliam of Northwestern; Micaela Kelly of Central Michigan; Janelle Bailey of North Carolina; Aislinn Konig of NC State were among the others let go. Tough, tough league to get an entry into. The league starts up on May 14th so moves will be coming fast and furious to get down to the 12- or 11-person limit.
