What's going through his head?

Who have a bit in his head that randomly flips to 'off' at some crucial moments. He's always been that way.

I don't remember seeing him much prior to 2014, but I remember a particular moment in the 7-1 thrashing in the WC where he ran out about 15 yards from the CB position to go at Hummels, completely vacating the space behind him, to which Hummels passed into and Germany promptly scored. Just...rash stupidity.

And to be clear, I have great memories of the guy, and he will continue to have those moments of absolutely insane brilliance. But you have to know that head scratching inanity comes the other half of the time. Rarely do you get a match where Luiz goes unnoticed (good or bad).

And you want that out of a CB less than any player not wearing funny gloves!
