I don't think he's that beholden to MLS

In reply to: Which potential USMNT players need to move?  posted by SixShutouts66

In the qualifiers that have mattered, the best players have generally played (yeah, can bring up some exceptions but they are just that).

I don't think keepers need to go to Europe, necessarily. It's more about them being able to play with their feet in our current system. Turner is who he is, he probably won't ever become a great ball playing keeper but he's a terrific shot stopper.

Pulisic probably does need a move. Chelsea just have no offensive identity these days. Everyone else currently in Europe is probably where they should be right now. Scally is starting a *lot*, Konrad is starting to play, CCV is doing well in Scotland, etc.

The guys who need to move overseas from the US are Clark, Miles Robinson and Bello, off the top of my head. Robinson has a much higher ceiling IMO, and Bello is very gifted and could use seasoning at a higher level even if it limits his playing time in the short term. He's more of a 2026 guy anyway. Clark (and Cade Cowell) are a mountain of potential that could be tapped.

Isn't Clark already at LawnBallSport?

I thought he signed in the summer, and was loaned back to RBNY for the rest of the year.

I completely forgot about that *

Based on Atlanta United's moves, Robinson isn't moving.

At least not prior to the World Cup. I could see a summer move, but it would need to be to a place with almost guaranteed playing time to keep him sharp. If he's moved in this winter window, Atlanta's front office is in a worse place than I thought.

Which league would you want to see Pulisic in (or *not* in)?

I see Barca rumors but maybe that's just wishful thinking on their part. I think injuries have also set him back at Chelsea.

Injuries have played a role for sure

He's also being played out of position and all over the place. Tuchel should know what to do with him, but it certainly seems like right now he has no idea.

I don't think Americans fare well in the Prem. Maybe it's just the attention they get. Do I want to see him to go Barcelona? Hell no, that place is a sarlacc pit for the foreseeable future. Would be fine with other sides in Spain, or the other 3 leagues.
