Helping Coach Alford

As most ND fans have heard, Aaron Alford, brother of assistant football coach Tony Alford, died of a heart attack earlier this week at the age of 39.

Like most young men getting started in an athletics administration career, Aaron and his family didn’t have much, and they now have to deal with his untimely death on top of all these other things.

We as Notre Dame alums and fans have an opportunity to help them. At the bottom of this post is a link to MountainLife Church, where they have started a memorial fund for Aaron to support his family in their time of need. Be sure to select “Aaron Alford Memorial Fund” in the drop-down window to show where the money should be directed.

No donation amount is too small, so please take a moment to show Coach Alford that when we talk about the Notre Dame Family, it’s not just words.

Time to step up.

Mike, thank you so much for publishing this link. When I read the news yesterday on NDN, I was heartbroken for the Alford family and was hoping that there would be a way to help. Thank you and may God Bless the Alford family.

Coach Alford is a perfect example of a true Notre Dame man. Donation will be sent, God Bless his brother’s family, and Tony.

  3. I left a message for Coach Alford about his brother on twitter and within a couple of days he sent out a tweet to personally thank me. Now how is that for class. I wish him and his family nothing but the very best in these trying times.
