You spend five minutes reviewing what should be a good goal and wave it off, then not even review what should be an open and shut goal. This should be 3-0.
just for fun.
Is our hockey-only B1G membership a factor? Is water wet?
[OK, I don’t have verification on that stat. Feels correct, though.]
You really have to wonder sometimes. Especially winning the tournament in both years.
It still feels like we're just being tolerated, but just barely, as members of the Big Integer. I think they're hoping we just go away.
So officially a tie per NCAA/PairWise purposes.
Faceoffs 33 to 19.
And it’s actually at least 4-2, so...
OT is extra-special torture.
I’m having a hard time letting this go.
The apparent goal that you referenced that wasn't reviewed. What happened?
...refs blew the whistle while the puck was still moving, then didn’t review it. According to the broadcast crew, that was a reviewable play. They were all shocked that they didn’t take a look at it, especially after the marathon review early on.
They spent the first 3 minutes of the five-minute review stating it was clearly a goal.
And despite the fact they were Big Ten employed announcers they were willing to state what was obviously correct.
I hate replay and I hate the Big Ten. The only problem is the majority of our fanbase -- at least in hockey -- prefers seeing the Irish play almost any Big Ten team over almost any other team. Boston College would be the only consistent exception to that rule.
Did it actually go in or is Jackson just angry for what could have happened?
2-2 with 7:40 left
No, I don’t think that one went in. But like you said, it could’ve turned into a goal.
